What is Botox?
Anti-wrinkle injections, commonly referred to as Botox, are medical aesthetic treatments used to minimise fine lines and wrinkles on the face. These treatments use a natural, purified protein that relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles, creating a rejuvenated appearance. Anti-winkle treatments work especially well for horizontal forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.

The Botox Treatment
The treatment itself will begin with a discussion of your medical history and expectations from the treatment. Your experienced medical professional will conduct a facial assessment and mark up the injection points that will be treated. It is a non-surgical procedure, administered into selected facial muscles by a trained medical professional, using a very fine needle. Generally, treatment takes around 10 minutes. Discomfort is typically minimal and brief, and no anaesthetic is usually required. The injection may sting for a few seconds but normal activities can be resumed soon after. After treatment you may have some slight redness and small bumps around the injection points which will settle in the following hours. On average, the results are seen between 2-14 days post-treatment and last around 12 weeks.
